You will be working as Buyer and will be part of Electrification business for Smart Power based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement & Logistics Manager and will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists
- Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions
- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommending frame agreements to management, and executes upon approval
- Analyzing and evaluating bids in order to determine the optimal value
- Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information
- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements

**Your background**:

- Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of technology or diploma
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in relevant field
- Purchase materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms
- Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
