You will be working as Buyer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement and Logistics Manager and will be primarily responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Finalization of erection & commissioning orders in line to the scope of work, analyze the cost, identify the contractors region wise to enable to get the best price and solve the local issues. On time delivery / execution of orders and customer satisfaction with integrity shall be main essence of the requirement.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists. Focusing on target in collaboration with co function and to meet the performance target in sustainable manner
- Negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing pricelists, terms and conditions. Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval
- Analyzing and evaluating bids in order to determine the optimal value. Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information and explore the best way to get the best price with quality and delivery
- Tracking goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing. Overseeing supplier performance (on time delivery, quality and lead time) and resolving performance issues
- Initiating purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements (based on enterprise resource planning (ERP) or standard operating procedures (SOP) / project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price
- Conducting all procurement activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensuring SAP Ariba platform is kept updated as defined in procedure

**Your background**:

- B.E or B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation engineering from a reputed university
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in working as a buyer and performing procurement, supplier identification, contract negotiations, contract management, bid analysis, sales support, supplier performance, order management, customer alignment and process alignment
- Experience in procuring electrical and instrumentation products (i.e. pressure transmitter, gauges, temperature, mass flow meters, cable, cable trays, batteries, UPS and transformers)
- Experience in working on SAP Ariba or MM module from an automation or EPC industry background
