A **Field Sales Representative** in the MRF Tyre and Tyre Retreading industry is responsible for driving sales, managing customer relationships, and promoting products in a specific geographical area. The role is crucial for the company’s growth and success, requiring a mix of sales skills, technical knowledge, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Sales and Revenue Generation**:
- Identify and approach potential customers, including garages, vehicle dealerships, and service centers, to promote MRF tyres and retreaded products.
- Achieve sales targets by effectively closing deals, upselling products, and expanding market share within the assigned territory.
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and follow up regularly to convert leads into sales.
- **Customer Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers.
- Provide product information, resolve customer complaints, and ensure satisfaction.
- Perform regular check-ins to understand customer needs and adapt the sales approach accordingly.
- **Market Research and Competitor Analysis**:
- Monitor market trends, including competitor activity, to inform sales strategies.
- Gather customer feedback and provide insights to the management to help shape product offerings.
- **Product Promotion and Branding**:
- Represent the MRF brand effectively, ensuring that the company’s reputation is upheld.
- Conduct product demonstrations or presentations to explain the features and benefits of MRF tyres and retreaded products.
- **Order Management and Reporting**:
- Process orders, track deliveries, and follow up on any issues related to order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and payments.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market conditions to the sales manager.
- **Collaboration with Internal Teams**:
- Work closely with other sales representatives, logistics teams, and customer service departments to ensure smooth execution of sales activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- **Sales Experience**: Prior experience in field sales, preferably in the automotive or tyre industry, is an advantage.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with customers and negotiate deals.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to identify challenges and come up with practical solutions to meet customer needs.
- **Product Knowledge**: Understanding of tyre specifications, performance, and retreading processes is beneficial but can be learned on the job.
- **Negotiation Skills**: Ability to strike deals and persuade customers effectively.
- **Self-Motivation**: Must be highly self-driven with a results-oriented mindset, as much of the work is independent.
Compensation:
- **Base Salary**: ₹20,000 to ₹26,000 per month, depending on experience and location.
- **Commission**: Additional commission is offered based on sales performance, incentivizing high achievers with higher earnings.
- **Other Benefits**: May include travel allowances, performance bonuses, and company-provided resources like a vehicle or fuel allowance (depending on the company policy).
Working Environment:
- This role requires frequent travel within a defined territory, with field visits to customers, dealers, and service centers. Field representatives may also attend trade events and exhibitions to promote the brand.

- Successful field sales representatives may have opportunities for advancement to supervisory or managerial roles, such as Sales Manager or Regional Sales Head, depending on their performance and experience.
