Summary

Main Duties and responsibilities:

- Monitors activities at the pool to prevent accidents.
- Maintains order in the pool and adjoining areas.
- Educate, observe and enforce all facility and pool rules in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe practices and safety hazards; enforces and adheres to pool rules and regulations.
- Thorough Knowledge on functioning of pool equipment and maintenance.
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness; completes general pool cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Follows emergency action plan and procedures established in the event of an emergency.
- Responsible for the availability and safekeeping of emergency equipment (rescue tubes, backboard, signs and other equipment).
- Must know swimming.
- Thorough knowledge on lifesaving methods and procedures, including first aid and standard resuscitation measures.
- Must have knowledge on rules and regulations governing conduct at the pool.
- Assist in the operation of all spa and fitness department departments as required:

- Fitness
- Spa
- Spa Reception
- Merchandise
- Check and clean swimming pool area when required.
- Maintain swimming pool plant room.
- Determines chlorine content and pH value of water, using water testing kit, and record readings.
- Maintain linen inventory to and from laundry on a scheduled basis.
- Direct members/guests to the swimming pool and assist them in every way possible.
- Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies.
- Ability to perform rescue actions, administer first aid and CPR.
- Assist members/guests with use of sauna, steam whirlpool etc.
- Prepare deck chairs for guests and clean thoroughly at the end of each day according to specified guidelines.
- Maintain set up of deck chairs in a tidy manner.
- Ensure stocking of all swimming pool linen and amenities.
