Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven
Talent Acquisition Lead
to join our team in the
metals and mining sector
. This individual will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent for various roles across our mining and metals operations. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, an understanding of the unique challenges in the mining sector, and a proven track record in delivering talent acquisition strategies that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Talent Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy tailored to the metals and mining industry, ensuring alignment with business goals and workforce needs.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from job requisition to offer negotiation, for technical and non-technical roles in mining, operations, engineering, geology, and more.
  • Build strong pipelines for key roles, particularly in remote or hard-to-recruit regions, by utilizing advanced sourcing techniques and industry-specific networks.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Partner closely with senior leadership, hiring managers, and department heads to understand workforce needs and proactively address talent gaps in the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance and consultation on best practices in recruitment, including market trends, compensation benchmarking, and candidate engagement strategies.

Candidate Engagement & Experience:

  • Create a positive candidate experience through transparent communication, timely feedback, and a personalized approach to recruitment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a seamless recruitment process from initial application to onboarding.

Industry Networking:

  • Cultivate relationships with industry associations, universities, and other relevant organizations to build a pipeline of diverse and highly qualified candidates.
  • Attend and represent the company at industry conferences, career fairs, and networking events.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talent acquisition professionals to build a high-performing recruiting function.
  • Establish clear goals and KPIs for the recruitment team and provide ongoing coaching to improve team effectiveness.

Data-Driven Recruitment:

  • Leverage recruitment analytics and data to continuously improve the hiring process, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality hires.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on progress to senior management.

Compliance & Diversity:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and internal policies related to hiring and employment.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a fair and equitable hiring process that attracts a diverse pool of candidates.

Education
: MBA (Master of Business Administration) from an accredited institution.

Experience
:

  • 12-16 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a minimum of 3 years in the
    metals and mining
    industry or a similar resource-based sector.
  • Proven expertise in hiring for complex, technical, and operational roles within the mining and metals industry.
