Maintenance Executive

**Job Summary**:
The **Container Maintenance Executive** is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of shipping containers used in logistics and transportation operations. They ensure that containers are in optimal condition, compliant with industry regulations, and ready for safe and efficient use.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Maintenance Planning**: Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules for shipping containers, considering factors such as usage frequency, condition assessment, and regulatory requirements.

2. **Container Inspections**: Conduct regular inspections of shipping containers to identify damages, structural issues, and maintenance needs. Record and document inspection findings accurately.

3. **Repairs and Maintenance**: Coordinate and oversee repair and maintenance activities for containers, including welding, patching, painting, and replacement of damaged components. Ensure repairs are carried out efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

4. **Compliance and Regulations**: Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards governing container maintenance and ensure adherence to them. This includes international shipping standards, safety regulations, and quality control guidelines.

5**.Inventory Management**: Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for container repairs and maintenance. Monitor stock levels, coordinate procurement, and ensure availability of necessary resources.

6.**Vendor Management**: Liaise with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks. Obtain competitive quotes, negotiate contracts, and monitor service quality.

7.**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of container maintenance activities, including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance history. Generate periodic reports on maintenance activities, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.

8.**Quality Assurance**: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure that container maintenance work meets established standards. Conduct quality checks and audits as necessary.

9.**Safety and Compliance**: Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations during container maintenance activities. Provide training and guidance to personnel on safe handling and maintenance practices.

10.**Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements in container maintenance. Propose and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall effectiveness of maintenance operations.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in container maintenance or a similar role within the logistics or shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of container types, structures, and maintenance requirements.
- Familiarity with welding techniques, painting, and general maintenance practices.
- Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to container maintenance.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and software for tracking and reporting.

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
