**Job Description: Tamil Captain**

**Location**: Tandoori Tamashaa, Ilara Hotels & Spa

**Department**: Food & Beverage (Fine Dining Restaurant)

**Reports To**: Restaurant Manager

**Role Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Guest Experience**:

- Welcome guests warmly and ensure they are seated comfortably.
- Address guest needs and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction.
- Manage guest reservations and table allocations efficiently.
- **Operational Management**:

- Supervise and guide the service team, ensuring adherence to fine dining standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team for seamless service flow.
- Ensure all areas of the restaurant are clean, organized, and meet brand standards.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Train and mentor stewards and hostesses to maintain service excellence.
- Assign and monitor tasks, ensuring team efficiency and motivation.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily goals and updates.
- **Reporting**:

- Maintain daily reports on guest feedback, sales, and operations.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in inventory management and staff scheduling.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Fluent in Tamil and English (additional languages are a plus).
- 2+ years of experience in a fine dining restaurant, preferably as a Captain or similar role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service, including multi-cuisine and Tandoor items.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle guest concerns tactfully.
