Consultant
- N+FFS Guarantee Systems will offer necessary technical support for conceptualizing
and establishing a sub-agency to offer the guarantee and certification services for different actors in
pesticide-free agricultural value chains, like Farmers Organisations (FOs), Civil Society
Organizations (CSOs), Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), etc. S/he will work closely
with the team members in the central office and in each region. This position requires frequent
travel within the country for on-site handholding, project monitoring and programme development.

**Length of employment**: 5 to 10 days per month based on the assignments.
Specific responsibilities
1. Developing Standards and protocols for production, post-harvest processing and handling,
Quality Manual and Operations Manual for certification.
2. Setting up systems related to Application processing, Inspection and Certification.
3. Demonstrate Application processing, Inspection and Certification to the concerned team
members.
4. Conduct training to potential clients.
5. Promoting and marketing of certification services.
6. Supporting in meeting the compliances in a timely manner.
7. Any other responsibility assigned by the management related to establishing the guarantee
and certification services as per the requirement of the organization.
Skills/Knowledge
1. Strong competency on certification of agricultural commodities and other related tasks,
both at the theoretical and practical levels.
2. Thorough understanding of the policy environment for certification of agricultural
commodities.
3. Experience in setting up systems from the scratch.
4. Ability to engage with a large variety of stakeholders like processors, retailers, traders, input
suppliers, government officials, administrative officials to create value for farmers.
Qualifications and Experience
❖ Post-Graduation in Agri-Business Management, Rural Business Management, Agricultural
Marketing OR any other qualification relevant to the position.
❖ Minimum 7-10 years of experience in certification of organic or other non-conventional
agricultural commodities.
❖ Experience of organizing training, value chain analysis, market research and product
promotion campaigns.
Other Qualifications Required
❖ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi, including the ability
to set out a coherent analysis in presentations, reports and articles.
❖ Passion for the cause of ‘ensuring safe and wholesome foods to all’
❖ Proactive, self-driven, while at the same time being a good team player, excellent
interpersonal skills and with a track record of delivering products and programs from
scratch.
❖ Interested to work with rural communities and urban poor, people from varying
backgrounds, demographic characteristics and educational levels.
The position will be a remote one with need-based travel to N+3F office at Bengaluru and field
partners. The salary shall be commensurable with experience and industry standards. N+3F is an
