**Bakery Commis 1 - Duties & Responsibilities**
**Position Summary**:
The Bakery Commis 1 is responsible for assisting in the preparation, baking, and presentation of bakery items such as breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods, under the supervision of the Bakery Chef or CDP (Chef de Partie).
**Key Duties**:
- **Preparation & Baking**:
- Prepare ingredients and doughs for breads, rolls, croissants, and other bakery products.
- Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, proofers, and sheeters.
- Follow standard recipes and production schedules.
- **Product Quality**:
- Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and presentation.
- Maintain portion control and minimize wastage.
- Check quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- **Support & Coordination**:
- Assist senior chefs in daily bakery operations and production.
- Follow instructions from CDP or Bakery Chef efficiently.
- Coordinate with other sections (patisserie, hot kitchen) as needed.
- **Cleanliness & Hygiene**:
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area at all times.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Properly store ingredients and baked items.
- **Inventory & Stock**:
- Assist in stock rotation and FIFO practices.
- Inform seniors about shortages or quality issues with ingredients.
- Assist in receiving and storing bakery supplies.
- **Training & Development**:
- Attend team briefings and training sessions.
- Show willingness to learn new techniques and recipes.
- **Workplace Discipline**:
- Report on time and in proper uniform.
- Maintain a professional attitude and team spirit.
- Adhere to company policies and kitchen protocols.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹9,540.43 - ₹23,877.42 per month
