**Job Overview**:
**A)** **Field Reporter** for a YouTube news channel is responsible for delivering accurate, engaging, and real-time news coverage from various locations. The reporter works on the ground to investigate stories, conduct interviews, provide live updates, and capture visual content that is essential for the channel's audience. This role requires strong communication, a proactive attitude, and adaptability to fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environments.

**B) Key Responsibilities**:
1. **On-Site Reporting**:

- Travel to assigned locations for covering breaking news, events, or feature stories.
- Report live from the scene, providing real-time updates for the YouTube channel.
- Prepare and deliver news segments that are clear, concise, and engaging.

2. **Content Gathering**:

- Conduct interviews with witnesses, experts, or public figures directly involved in the story.
- Capture relevant video footage, ensuring high-quality visuals for broadcast.
- Work closely with the videographer or personally handle camera operations.

3. **Research & Investigation**:

- Investigate facts, collect information, and verify sources to ensure accurate news reporting.
- Keep track of ongoing news stories and stay updated with developments in assigned beats.
- Maintain a strong network of local contacts and sources to break news early.

4. **Collaboration with Newsroom**:

- Coordinate with editors, producers, and the digital team to ensure proper framing of the story.
- Upload video footage and conduct live streaming or pre-recorded segments as required.
- Follow editorial guidelines and ensure journalistic standards are upheld.

5. **Social Media Engagement**:

- Contribute content and updates to social media platforms during live coverage.
- Engage with the audience by responding to comments or answering questions in real-time.
- Promote upcoming stories, interviews, or live streams through various social platforms.

6. **Adaptability**:

- Handle unexpected challenges in the field, such as difficult weather, uncooperative interviewees, or last-minute changes to the reporting schedule.
- Manage high-pressure situations, such as breaking news, with composure and professionalism.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 2-3 years of experience in field reporting or similar roles in journalism, preferably in digital media or television.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency with cameras, microphones, and other technical equipment used for on-site reporting.
- Familiarity with video editing software and live streaming tools.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- **Physical Requirements**: Willingness to travel frequently and report from diverse locations, which may include remote or challenging environments.
