**Job Purpose**:
Assist in Time office activities, recording and compiling attendance for staff and workmen and contract workers, salary and wage administrations, payroll inputs to outsourcing agency and ensuring compliances to internal processes pertaining to Tax, JV etc. as per statutory norms and requirements.

Chlor-Alkali Business in India has eight manufacturing locations: Grasim Chemical Division Nagda (M.P.), Grasim Chemical Division, Vilayat (Gujarat), Aditya Birla Nuvo, Veraval (Gujarat), Grasim Chemical Division, Rehla (Jharkhand), Grasim Chemical Division, Renukoot, Grasim Chemical Division, Karwar, Grasim Chemical Division, Ganjam (Odisha) and Grasim Chemical Division, BB Puram, Kakinada. ABG Chlor-Alkali Business (India) is headed by SBU Head. The Eight units put together are one of the largest manufacturers of Caustic Soda in India with an installed capacity of about 2450 TPD Caustic Soda and 2100 TPD Chlorine/Hydrochloric Acid.
The Grasim Chemical Division, Ganjam (Odisha) is manufacturing unit of Caustic Soda which has recently been acquired by the Chemical Business of the Aditya Birla Group and formally known as Jayshree Chemicals Ltd. At Grasim Chemical Division, Ganjam (Odisha), the present capacity of caustic soda is 250 TPD. Chemicals Business is largest producer of Chlor Alkali in India with a market share of approx. 23%. It is currently the dominant player in the Industry and the challenge is to maintain its dominance and increase market share to 30%. To attain market share of 30%, business is formulating aggressive growth plans which includes brown field expansions at existing unit locations, Green field projects and identifying the opportunities for merger and acquisition.

Ganjam - It is located around 140 k.m. away from Bhubaneswar (Capital of Odisha) and well connected with National highway NH16. Unit is having well established residential colony for all its employees and English medium School up to 10th class affiliated with ICSE board.

**Salary & Wages Preparation & Distribution**
- To Collect data’s related to Salary & Wages preparation such as deductions from Grasim Community Centre, Co-operative Store, Hospital etc. and other data such as Loans, Advances, LIC premiums, Electricity unit, Income Tax, P.F., ESI etc. and finally feed these data’s to process Salaries.
- To process the net payable Salary & Wages and sending the same to third party by 24th of every month.
- To sort out all kinds of queries regarding salary & Wages details in order to ensure total internal customer satisfaction.
- Resolve queries regarding loan, advances, and other matters related to salary & wages of employees.
- To check dependents entitlement, Taxable or Non-Taxable LTA & Medical and payment with salary.
- To ensure proper full & final settlement of separating employees
- To provide & get settlement money for transferring employees by coordinating with host/parent unit
- To get the salary JV from partners and post it timely
- To do reconciliations every month and provide input to accounts
**Statutory Compliances**
- To ensure compliances to all laid down policies, processes and procedure pertaining to payroll thereby maintaining health audit outcome
- Periodically review for conformance of formalities - Renewal of policies, etc.
**Social Securities**
- Coordinating and implementation of Nishchint policy and Mediclaim Policy.
- Coordinating and implementation of Group saving linked Insurance Scheme.
**Time Office**
- Assist SH in monitoring the activities of Time Office for proper attendance records and discipline of Workmen and contract workers.
- Regulate shift schedule and monitor Timekeeper’s work
- Maintaining necessary records of attendance.
**Poornata Leave Administrator**
- Play the role of Poornata leave administrator
- Tally Poornata leave and LMS system leave on monthly basis, so as to zero observation on Audit side.
