Introduction:
As part of Barclays Funding Strategy, you will support the Funding Strategy Centre of Excellence with regards to the production of funding plans for the Group and entities as part of the regular planning cycle, supporting the identification and delivery of the optimal funding profile within the constraints of the liquidity risk framework and regulatory requirements.
What will you be doing?
- Support development of funding plans for Group and entities during regular planning cycles (incl. stress tests) and performance management through monitoring liquidity performance indicators (incl. outlook);
- Manage and review input data, liaising with a wide range of Finance and business teams;
- Consolidate input data and process models to produce funding plans and metrics, and coordinate reports and MI for management forums;
- Implement enhancements to the Funding Plan process and models, across the full range of planning exercises (e.g. MTP, IST, Outlook)
- Support the interpretation of regulatory requirements with respect to funding and liquidity (e.g. NSFR, Granular LCR), ensuring they are appropriately considered as part of the funding plan, alongside internal Risk limits and Treasury targets;
- Support initiatives to optimise the composition of funding
What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience in a Finance or Treasury function, preferably related to liquidity management or planning
- Accounting and/or balance sheet experience and interests
- Eye for detail and takes pride in the quality of written communications and analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large data sets;
- Strong relationship management skills, with an ability to develop and maintain strong, open and trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders outside of the immediate team;
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience within a Liquidity (Risk) Management function;
- Some/Preferred experience in data visualisation (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Hypercube) and coding (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
- Degree educated with a relevant qualification (ACA, CFA);
- Regulatory and/or consultancy background.
