- Responsible for Technology strategy, Tech architecture, technology stack and design choices for the entire platform.
- Giving strategic clarity & vision of technology path
- Creating teams to develop Products & systems designs to meet the standards of quality and market differentiation
- Be the bands-on Technology leader for the Organization in building best-in-class edtech platform

**Responsibilities**:
**Major Duties**:

- Finalize the long-term technology road map keeping product road map in mind
- Define the Technology strategy, Technology Roadmap, defining the right tech stack for the business
- Leading the team to bring the right engineering culture and innovation in setting up right tools and framework for Design, development, DevOps etc Day to day job involves in gathering functional requirements, developing specifications, determining Project Scope, documenting all aspects of the infra, code and product, leading development Teams, and managing external vendors.
- Takes sole ownership of your product(s) - keep a keen eye out for bugs that might arise, ardently resolve them; make feature additions to your product; or sometimes, when you're feeling ambitious - rewrite the whole product from scratch (Don't make this a habit though.)
- Collaborate with Product and business teams to design the system specifications with focus on stability, scalability and security
- Plan and design detailed technology solution and communicate the same to the development teams;
- Taking key product design and development decisions basis accurate assessment of internal capabilities and costs (In house/Outsource, Develop vs Partner)
- Assist in solving technological problems as they arise
- Ensure proper development framework, process is setup for easier tracking till delivery.
- Take charge all aspects of software lifecycle from design, development, testing and deployment.
- Detailed progress reviews with the team and timely updates to all stakeholders. To ensure that all project activities within technology purview are managed within the pre-defined budget

**Minor Duties**:

- Connecting with customers and other relevant stakeholders to get continuous feedback on their evolving expectations w.r.t. products
- Budget review of all products with Head-Product Roadmap
- Attending relevant forums to keep a t a b on key developments in the Education sector.
- Conducting pilots at relevant stages of product development
- Monitoring and managing terms of contract with vendors/external service providers

**Key Skills**:

- Deep and demonstrated understanding of latest technology stack and architecture
- Must have built complex technology architecture and design systems in a product startup or entrepreneurial environment
- Hands-on coding and design / architecture skills
- Can demonstrate strong front-end skills on any two frameworks React, Angular or Vue etc.
- Must have integrated third-party services
- Working experience with RDBMS, Mongo, Elastic Search & Cassandra
- Should have worked on Kubernetes and Docker, dockerize any NodeJS app and understands CI CD pipelines
- Strong knowledge on Mobile Apps, Progressive Web Apps, AMP and related framework
- Experience or working knowledge of Prometheus, New Relic, Graphana etc Experience writing Microservices is a must - Highly important Understanding of Boto3 or Google API is extremely important

- Most importantly has a lot of fun building products, solving problems and being a part of a team as a technology leader
