**Roles and Responsibilities**:
To admit patients based upon defined criteria for admission & treatment in hospital for management of illness. There are the following duties and responsibilities of a duty manager:
- Ensure proper admission process followed as per departmental manual.
- To do Counselling of all patients who has been advised admission and ensure conversion.
- 100% adherence to package & open billing, Estimate for cash & IPS patients and maintain consistency for all patients.
- Ensure proper documentation of all admitted patients
- Estimate tagging (100%)
- Ensure proper follow up of OT Patients for financial clearance with 75% deposit as per policy
- Without any failure daily Submission of cash, Credit Card and credit bills as per their scroll
- Undertake the TPA Counselling for all admissions
- Maintaining Admission TAT; (time taken from Counselling till patient was sent to ward)
- Minimize refund, vouchers correction
- Estimate Accuracy
- Minimize paper wastage
- Demonstrate empathy and helping attitude towards our entire customer.
- Emergency admission crowd handling.
- In night he would be taken as supporting manage on duty.
- Has to ensure a constant touch and Counseling of all attendant is done for adequate deposit of advance after the admission is done till discharge.
- Has to ensure that adequate advances have been deposited before admission file is made.
- Has to ensure that financial & medical Counseling is done of all patients coming to emergency.

- To register all patients correctly & timely.
- Will be on rotational shifts.
- To maintain decorum & discipline.
- Talk to patients politely.
- To make patients entry in Hospitals system or in registers.
- Will pass on information regarding doctors fees.
- To ensure that the patient is accompanied with one hospital worker up to the room.
- To inform the nurse in charge of the selected ward/room and will ensure that the bed is ready before the patient is dispatched to that room.
- To be responsible for doing bookings for OPD consultation & admission.
**Administrative Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the general upkeep of the department.
- To maintain interpersonal relations with the concerned departments for smoother flow of work
- To display warmth & care while interacting with customers/patients.
- To familiarity with all instruction manuals & guidelines at your workplace applicable to your role.
- To keep reporting head informed of significant customer related incidents in the department.
