Job Title: Bakery Chef cum Supervisor
Location: Mulund West, Mumbai

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a wide range of modern bakery and confectionery items including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, tarts, and other innovative baked goods.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menus based on market trends and customer preferences.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to quality, consistency, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee the weighing, packing, and quality control of all finished products to ensure uniformity and excellence.
- Plan daily production volumes by maintaining and updating a detailed schedule based on sales trends and forecasts.
- Guide and train junior kitchen staff in baking techniques, presentation, and safety practices.
- Manage baking schedules to ensure timely production and availability of fresh items.
- Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards across all baking and preparation areas.
- Collaborate with management to support product development, promotions, and customer feedback implementation.
- Assist in cost control and waste reduction efforts through proper planning and efficient operations.
- Follow and contribute to the refinement of kitchen SOPs and best practices.
- Analyze and optimize the use of bakery equipment and machinery to enhance production efficiency and minimize manual effort.
- Ensure consistent quality in baked goods by supervising accurate mixing, proofing, and shaping processes, including the preparation of icings and toppings per standardized recipes.
- Introduce and rotate menu items periodically to maintain customer interest and seasonal relevance.
- Develop and produce allergy-conscious alternatives such as gluten-free, dairy-free, and egg-free recipes.
- Monitor and regulate baking equipment such as ovens and proofers to maintain ideal temperatures and functionality.
- Ensure proper food handling practices by overseeing the rotation, cooling, and storage of all perishable items.
- Maintain kitchen equipment through regular cleaning, proper storage, and timely updates of maintenance logs.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or certification in Bakery & Confectionery and Culinary Arts.
- Proven experience as a professional baker or pastry chef, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Expertise in modern bakery and confectionery techniques and presentation styles.
- Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and baking equipment operations.
- Ability to lead a small team and manage kitchen workflows efficiently.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for quality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for recipe documentation and inventory management.
- Flexible to work weekends and peak seasons as required.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Morning shift
