The Demi Chef de Partie - Italian Cuisine is responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the Italian kitchen, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of authentic Italian dishes. The role involves supervising commis chefs, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, cook, and present Italian dishes (pasta, risotto, pizza, antipasti, sauces, etc.) as per standard recipes and plating guidelines.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations for the Italian section.
- Supervise, guide, and support Commis chefs in day-to-day tasks.
- Ensure mise-en-place is ready for service and maintain consistency in quality and taste.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimize waste.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation of ingredients.
- Uphold kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and creation of Italian specials.
- Report any equipment or ingredient shortages promptly to senior chefs.
- Maintain good coordination with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or strong Commis I experience in an Italian kitchen or fine-dining restaurant.
- Professional culinary diploma/degree or equivalent certification.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian cooking methods, ingredients, and plating styles.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Expertise in pasta, risotto, sauces, and pizza-making.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Passion for Italian cuisine with attention to detail in taste and presentation.
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
