### Job Description: Restaurant Manager
### Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager oversees daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high standard of customer service, efficient operations, and a positive work environment. This role involves managing staff, handling customer complaints, optimizing profits, and maintaining health and safety standards.
### Key Responsibilities
1. **Operations Management**:
- Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate and optimize front and back of house operations.
- Oversee the inventory management and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
2. **Staff Management**:
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive team environment and encourage professional development.
3. **Customer Service**:
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
- Enhance guest satisfaction by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Implement strategies to improve customer experience and retention.
4. **Financial Management**:
- Develop and manage the restaurant’s budget.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
- Implement cost control measures without compromising quality.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed business decisions.
5. **Marketing and Sales**:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Promote the restaurant through social media, events, and partnerships.
- Implement initiatives to increase sales and promote special events.
### Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems.
- Familiarity with food and beverage operations and health regulations.
- Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
### Working Conditions
- This position may require long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.
