**Introduction**:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the continued availability, effectiveness and accuracy of production systems for the Prime Services business and be a point of contact for the escalation of issues affecting the operations of the Prime Services business during APAC/UK hours and for on call covering during weekends on a rotational basis. This includes:

- To provide rapid response to incidents and escalated user queries.
- To own, maintain and track incidents and problems through their entire lifecycle
- To work independently on run-the-bank project work that will include audit and control work, tech debt and disaster recovery planning and execution.

**What will you be doing?**
- Co-ordinate, communicate and manage Major incidents. Work closely with Business, Development, Global Infrastructure and supporting Vendors to facilitate rapid recovery of systems.
- To represent Technology in front of the business and take ownership of issue escalations through to resolution or escalation, as appropriate.
- Need to thoroughly follow ITIL standards of Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management etc.
- Drive and implement automation and monitoring solutions to reduce manual work and catch issues before they impact business.
- Drive tech debt remediation and service improvement projects to improve service delivery to the business.

**What we’re looking for**:

- OS: Linux, Windows
- Database: SQL Server, Oracle
- Languages: Shell/Perl/Python Scripting, SQL, PLSQL, Knowledge of Java and Middleware interfaces.
- Autosys, ITRS-Geneos/Appdynamics.
- Application support experience in an investment banking environment.

**Skills that will help you in the role**
- Position is very user/client facing with emphasis on communication and soft skills (i.e.: must be confident and calm while handling high pressure Major incident situations).
- Good analytical skills and experience in investigating business queries related to trading and settlement :(i.e.: trade mismatch, Marking/pricing, trade processing, recon breaks etc.)
