Telecommunications and Field Work

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Telecommunication Field Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Telecommunication Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of telecommunication systems and equipment in the field. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication services for our clients and customers.

**Responsibilities**:
Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication equipment, including but not limited to, cellular antennas, satellite dishes, routers, switches, and other networking devices.

Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of telecommunication installations and ensure optimal signal coverage and quality.

Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement telecommunication solutions based on client requirements and technical specifications.

Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, network issues, and connectivity problems, both remotely and on-site.

Perform regular maintenance and preventive inspections on telecommunication systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Coordinate with clients and project managers to schedule installations, maintenance visits, and repairs while adhering to established timelines.

Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including technical details, equipment used, and issues resolved.

Provide technical support and training to end-users and clients, addressing their questions and concerns related to telecommunication systems.

Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in telecommunication technologies and industry best practices.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working at heights and in various outdoor conditions.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Proven experience as a Telecommunication Field Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of telecommunication systems and networking principles.

Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Familiarity with tools and equipment used in telecommunication installations and maintenance.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially when dealing with clients and end-users.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Willingness to travel frequently and work in various outdoor and sometimes challenging environments.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 pounds).

Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and operating in outdoor conditions.

Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
