**Student Counsellor - EuroSchool HSR**

**Position**: Student Counsellor

**Location**: EuroSchool - HSR

**Employment Type**: Full-time

**Reports to**: Principal

**Experience Required**: Minimum 3 years

**Job Summary**:
The Student Counsellor at EuroSchool - HSR will be responsible for providing academic, career, and personal guidance to students. The role involves supporting students in overcoming academic and emotional challenges, conducting counseling sessions, and working closely with teachers and parents to create a nurturing learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities:1. Student Counseling & Emotional Well-being**
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling for students facing emotional, social, and academic challenges.
- Help students cope with stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and other personal concerns.
- Implement strategies to improve students’ emotional well-being and resilience.

**2. Academic & Career Guidance**
- Assist students in goal setting, career planning, and academic development.
- Guide students on course selection, study techniques, and time management.
- Provide information on higher education, career pathways, and scholarships.

**3. Coordination & Collaboration**
- Work closely with teachers and parents to address students’ behavioral and academic concerns.
- Conduct workshops and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and career planning.
- Refer students to external professionals if additional psychological support is required.

**4. Student Well-being Programs**
- Organize well-being initiatives such as mindfulness sessions, peer mentoring, and self-care activities.
- Develop intervention plans for students requiring additional emotional and academic support.
- Ensure a safe and supportive school environment for all students.

**5. Documentation & Reporting**
- Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Prepare reports and present insights to school management for student development programs.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and ethical counseling guidelines.

**Qualifications & Skills**:
**Education**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
**Experience**: Minimum 3 years of experience in student counseling, preferably in a school setting.
**Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust with students.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent psychology.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Familiarity with counseling techniques and career guidance tools.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in Counseling or Mental Health Support.
- Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents.
