**Position Summary**:
A **Steward** is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dishwashing areas. This includes cleaning utensils, dishware, equipment, and supporting the culinary team with necessary cleaning and organizing tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

**Key Responsibilities**: Cleaning & Hygiene:

- Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen floors, walls, and workstations regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of kitchen waste.
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machines and sinks.

Operational Support:

- Assist chefs by keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Refill cleaning supplies and maintain inventory of cleaning tools.
- Ensure clean and dry utensils are available during peak hours.
- Handle kitchen linen and assist with basic storage tasks when required.

Safety & Compliance:

- Follow all safety and hygiene procedures as per food safety regulations.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and store them properly after use.
- Report any damaged equipment or maintenance needs promptly.
- Wear personal protective gear and adhere to kitchen safety norms.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness practices.
- Physically fit and comfortable with standing and lifting.
- Team player with a cooperative attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
