The overall objective of the Finance on the Cloud initiative is to deliver standardised global processes that leverage a single dataset for reporting, analysis and forecasting. This will be enabled through definition and implementation of revised organisation and operating model for Finance, leveraging investment in data sources and Cloud technology. The Programme is a key initiative for Finance, enabling the implementation of a leaner Finance function supporting actuals and forecast reporting, and allowing more time and focus on value creation activities and deliverables.

A key aspect of the Cloud initiative is for Finance to use a single data set to support all reporting, internal MI and forecasting requirements. This has many advantages, including from an efficiency, robustness and controls perspective. It is essential to understand the end requirements, particularly where these are driven by regulator or accounting body requirements, to ensure that the data is in line with the required definitions, to understand differences which may require more than one similar data element to be sourced and to define appropriate data controls and validations.

A strong understanding of how data is processed, adjusted and the technology being used by the programme, and the future operating model will be essential. The role holder will support the delivery of HNAH’s Basel III Reform implementation, primarily supporting the review and investigation of UAT and Parallel Run delivery of HNAH’s PRA implementation on Cloud, the role holder will also need to be informed by emerging technologies and trends to identify and trial innovative solutions for simplifying control design and increasing effectiveness. The changing landscape brought about by technology requires different skillsets in Finance going forward.

**What you will do**:

Impact on the Business:

- For the HNAH implementation of PRA NCCR on Finance on the Cloud, facilitate the requirements and design approvals, and resolution of design issues.
- On UAT and Parallel Run deliveries, support the review, investigation and summarising the results compared to expectations from the requirements and design work.
- Having a transformational approach to data, while maintaining adherence to regulatory and accounting requirements, and addressing existing areas for improvement.
- Contribute to transforming the way in which Finance gains assurance over data.
- Propose practical and workable solutions and ensure best practices are suitably shared across other regions.
- Help drive and facilitate the closure of issues at a regional and global view, ensuring regional issues are considered at a global level and where necessary uniformity exists which is the ideal unless regional perspectives are required.
- Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across Finance and other functions/Global Business.

Typical KPIs and Targets
- Delivery of clear requirements and design effectiveness.
- Timely resolution of design issues with Finance Change.
- Support Functional Manager with clear articulation of UAT and Parallel run impact on PRA RWAs.
- Eliminate or reduce the manual adjustments posted by HNAH PRA reporting team.
- Alignment of regulatory, financial and business data in a single golden source of data
- Maintenance of HSBC’s good standing and the confidence of the Regulators in HSBC’s practices
- Operating model and processes implemented to internal HSBC standards

Customers / Stakeholders
- Regular engagement, consultation and effective communication with key stakeholders throughout implementation: Financial and Regulatory Reporting senior management; Finance Change Delivery teams; Finance Chief Data Officer team; and Finance Operations team.
- Support Finance on the Cloud Programme Delivery teams in regards to change delivery matters: assist in approval of project requirements and design of business process and controls.
- Escalate risks and issues in a timely manner to various programme governance forums for consideration.
