A chef is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of a restaurant or kitchen. The chef ensures that food is prepared to the highest quality standards, the kitchen operates efficiently, and the staff is trained and motivated. The following are typical responsibilities and duties of a chef:
Menu planning: Develop and create menus based on seasonal availability, local sourcing, and customer preferences. Design recipes, create new dishes, and adjust existing ones to ensure that they are of the highest quality and consistent with the restaurant's brand.
Food preparation: Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring that recipes and quality standards are followed, and food is cooked to the appropriate temperature.
Kitchen management: Manage and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers. Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized, and that all equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
