**Position Name **DGM - Road Safety

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Job Purpose/Objective**:

- To lead the development and implementation of Road Safety program and processes for achieving best in class road safety performance.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design & implement strategy for driving Road Safety Standards across SCO operations.
- Work with the field teams to innovate and drive projects to minimise Road accidents viz. telematics / use of technology / Journey risk assessment etc.
- Work with other organizations like RTO / FICCI / NGOs / corporates to improve road safety practices.
- Develop & implement driver training modules both classroom and on the job.
- Supervise, train and motivate associates for the road safety norm adherence.
- Promote, develop and with others implement the Sustainable initiatives in Road Transportation, including low carbon / alternate fuels.
- Monitor, report and ensure performance in line with agreed targets and indicators.
- Investigate and analysis of road incident data and to advise on incident reduction policy, strategy, and initiatives.
- Establish, develop and maintain links with external organizations and agencies, including the Police, local authorities, representatives of central government and other partner organizations.
- Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure an effective and integrated approach to reduce road incidents.

**QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES**

**Skills and Competencies**
- Experience in Heading Operations and large teams.
- Capability to conceptualize, strategize and implement the Safety systems to address the key risks and opportunities.
- Knowledge of advanced technologies being practiced in the area of Road Safety
- Knowledge of Indian OHS Regulations
- Should have an understanding or exposure to Auditing, & HSE regulatory requirements, and Safety & Loss Prevention
- Capable of conducting Health and Safety training assignments
- Auditing skills - ability to plan and execute HSE system audits.
- Strong functional knowledge of good practices
- Certifications/ Trainings on safety, engineering mindset, Behavioral competencies

- Educational Qualification (min) - B.E/ B. Tech/B.SC/ Diploma / PG in safety
- Range/ Min no of years - of overall Experience required Minimum 8 years of overall experience
