Production Supervisor

Organization is leading Crane & Hydraulic Manufacturing Industry located at Changodar, Ahmedabad.

Required Education: Diploma in Mechanical with min 2 to 3 Years Experience as Production Supervisor Profile in Crane and Hydraulic Manufacturing Industry or any Capital Goods Industry

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Lead and supervise a team of fabricators to execute the fabrication of EOT crane components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities, including resource allocation, production scheduling, and workflow optimization to meet production targets and project deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in all fabrication processes, including material handling, welding, cutting, and assembly, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of fabrication equipment and tools, conducting regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Implement quality control measures to inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy, weld integrity, and surface finish, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to review fabrication drawings, resolve technical issues, and provide feedback for continuous improvement in product design and manufacturability.
- Train and mentor fabrication team members on proper techniques, procedures, and safety guidelines, fostering a culture of skill development, teamwork, and accountability.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, scrap rates, rework, and labor utilization, and analyze data to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, such as Assembly, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to coordinate production schedules, resolve production bottlenecks, and support overall operational efficiency.
- Participate in regular meetings with management to provide updates on production progress, discuss challenges, and propose solutions for continuous improvement in fabrication operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on fabrication processes and supervision, preferably in the production of heavy equipment or machinery, such as EOT cranes.
- Strong technical knowledge of fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, machining, and assembly, as well as familiarity with relevant materials and welding codes (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of fabricators to achieve production goals while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other continuous improvement tools is desirable.
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
