**Job Title**: Study Abroad Counselor

**Experience**: 3 - 8 years

**Role and Responsibilities**:
**Student Advising**: Provide personalized guidance to students regarding study abroad opportunities, considering their academic goals, interests, and preferences.

**Program Selection**: Assist students in selecting suitable study abroad programs based on their field of study, desired location, language proficiency, and cultural interests.

**Academic Planning**: Advise students on how study abroad programs align with their academic curriculum, ensuring that credits earned abroad will transfer back to their home institution.

**Cultural and Logistical Support**: Offer support and resources for cultural adjustment, visa procedures, travel arrangements, housing options, health insurance, and other logístical aspects of studying abroad.

**Financial Guidance**: Provide information about scholarships, grants, and funding opportunities available for studying abroad. Assist students in understanding the cost implications and budgeting for their time abroad.

**Pre-Departure Orientations**: Organize and conduct pre-departure orientations to prepare students for the cultural, academic, and practical aspects of studying in a foreign country.

**Risk Management**: Educate students about safety measures, health precautions, and emergency protocols while studying abroad. Offer guidance on dealing with unexpected situations.

**Collaboration**: Collaborate with other departments, such as academic advisors, financial aid offices, and international student services, to ensure a seamless experience for students.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Education, Counseling, International Relations, etc.). A master's degree is often preferred.
- Experience in advising or counseling roles, preferably in an educational or international context.
- Knowledge of study abroad programs, cultural differences, and international travel logistics.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant software and databases used in student advising and program management.

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Abroad counselling: 3 years (preferred)
