**Job Description & Role Responsibilities**

The role sits within the LGC ASSURE sales and marketing team, reporting to the Head of Commercial Sales and will be based in one of the following regions APAC, EMEA, North America, either in a global office or home-based.

The business works through a network of certification bodies who both sell and deliver our certification products, but we also directly sell a number of products pre
- and post-certification, namely training (public courses, in-house, BRCGS Professional), events (sponsorship and delegate sales), digital (Insight, Food Safety Culture Excellence, Confidential Reporting), certification (free from, core standards and additional modules) and the partnership connection programme (an annual scheme promoting organisations that provide supply chain services).

The individual will focus on all Presale’s activity, working on leads, enquiries, and data that involves investigating leads and developing them to be sales ready.

This role will be a mix of transactional sales but with a key focus on lead generation.

The role holder will have a commercial outlook and have sales experience selling publications, certification, training, and digital services.
- Responsible for qualifying new leads from the CRM and other channels from within LGC ASSURE business, including BRCGS and Safefood360.
- Assign leads sales as directed by management.
- Actively focus on customer enquiries and develop them as sales ready leads.
- Help support the sales team with sales as and when required by line manager or business requirement.
- Be an active part of the overall global sales team.
- Achieve sales for a specific area or region.
- Support sales as and where required if a salesperson is not available for the specific region or area
- Establish excellent working relationships with sales team and other functions.
- Work with the marketing team to manage and process campaign leads, or event follow up.
- Follow up all renewals for ongoing products such as the partner connection program, GFCP, certification, and any other products from the LGC ASSURE portfolio.
- Work with the other team members and the wider organisation to ensure a co-ordinated sales approach to our market.
- Create high levels of customer service for repeat and upgrade business and support the onboarding process.
- Working with your manager to continually review, update and increase your opportunity pipeline. Use CRM effectively and ensure customer data is of high quality.

- Experienced in all stages of the sales process (lead generation, pipeline management, cold calling, proposals, closing, objection handling).
- Experienced in selling across multiple levels within an organisation.
- Effective use of a CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics preferable, but not essential).
- Familiarity with selling an online, digital product.
- Knowledge of the global supply chain and associated industries is an advantage.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, whilst still contributing to a strong team environment.
- Strong communication, listening and time management skills.
- Driven and KPI focussed
