**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounts Receivable & Payable**:

- Ensure timely invoicing and payment processing for customers and vendors.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor payment schedules and follow up with customers/vendors on overdue payments.
- **Financial Recordkeeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to freight forwarding.
- Process and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Prepare and update financial reports on a regular basis for management review.
- **Cost Management**:

- Track and allocate costs related to freight forwarding services, such as shipping, handling, and customs duties.
- Verify vendor invoices and ensure the accuracy of charges.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for logistics and freight forwarding operations.
- **Reconciliation & Reporting**:

- Reconcile statements from carriers, clients, and vendors to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for review.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- **Compliance & Documentation**:

- Ensure compliance with tax and accounting regulations.
- Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate records of customs documents and shipping paperwork in accordance with legal requirements.
- **Customer/Vendor Interaction**:

- Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve billing issues, clarify charges, and answer queries.
- Provide financial updates to the sales and logistics teams when necessary.
- Assist in negotiating payment terms with customers and vendors.
- **System Management**:

- Utilize accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to enter, track, and analyze financial data.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the financial management system.
- Assist in the automation of accounting processes within the freight forwarding department.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding operations and terminology (e.g., Incoterms, bill of lading, customs clearance).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with ERP systems specific to freight forwarding or logistics.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹550,000.00 per year
