Position Summary: Develop the core technical platform, capabilities, and services that support business processes and data including: Mapping the relationships between IT platform/infrastructure components (i.e., Technology End Users, IT Systems Software & Hardware, and Info-Communications Transmission Networks); Identifying the key technology interactions and dependencies across systems/platforms impacting the organization's ability to achieve integration, compatibility, and performance targets; Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives. May be involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical network components. May be responsible for system integration testing and evaluation within specific technology area, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems software and hardware for multi-user server computers and/or personal computing devices including: Meeting end user needs by ensuring the uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of the computers managed within established budgets and operational guidelines. Acquiring, installing, and upgrading computer components and software and planning for/responding to service outages and other problems. Automating routine tasks using scripting and writing basic computer programs to address more complex systems software configuration and enhancement. What you bring to the role: Established and productive professional individual contributor. Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. Works on moderate to complex projects. Uses company standard policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Receives moderate level of guidance. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy. General proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. May need to consult with Senior/Specialist staff members on some technical issues. A four year college degree (or additional experience in a related field) and 3 years functional experience including a minimum 1 year position specific experience. *This is not a complete listing of the job duties.
