Job summary

Taskless Tax team seeks a Tax Analyst to support India Withholding Tax (WHT) operations. This position will primarily support variety of business teams (Digital, Retail, Transport, etc) on WHT tax matters and will provide tax operational lead including technical guidance and advice on procedural setup to ensure that Amazon businesses and Finance Operations are in compliance with tax identity collection, withholding, information reporting, and other withholding tax requirement

This role will include collaborating with other tax teams and identifying appropriate support needed from external consultants when necessary. As a Tax Analyst, you will also be required to handle end-to-end customer contacts, identify customer-impacting issues, and implement solutions and processes to increase customer satisfaction rate. The scope of this role is limited to the operational areas of tax identity collection, withholding and information reporting.

Key job responsibilities
- Review tax identity collection process to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness by simplifying processes;
- Review withholding tax filings and returns of India Tax Jurisdiction
- Support special projects and new launches from the Initial Tax Requirement process (initial configuration into Oracle, covering use cases, testing the functions) to the production phase with the Tax Operation team providing proper sign-offs from a tax technical perspective;
- Manage and assist with tax compliance and audits;
- Be the point of contact for all tax related queries from global customers and businesses;
- Foster good cross-functional relationships with internal business partners by serving as the Tax liaison for general inquiries, escalations, communication of project/process initiatives and plans of action;
- Actively participate in and drive the continuous improvement to provide great customer service and help business partners in their success
- Previous experience with withholding tax calculation for India.
- Knowledge of Oracle Applications and Payables Modules a plus;
- Microsoft office skills.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited general supervision, effectively prioritizing competing demands across global teams to meet deadlines
