**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to prepare traditional Japanese sushi and related dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. The Sushi Chef will be responsible for crafting high-quality sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, ensuring exceptional taste and visual appeal while maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare all types of sushi including maki, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls.
- Ensure proper portioning, garnishing, and presentation of sushi dishes.
- Select, clean, and cut raw fish and other ingredients according to the restaurants standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor freshness of ingredients and rotate stock as necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and front-of-house to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Innovate new sushi creations and seasonal menu items.
- Educate and train junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques.
- Engage with customers when applicable, offering knowledge about sushi dishes and specials.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
- Deep knowledge of sushi types, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in food handling and sanitation (preferred).
- Culinary training or apprenticeship in Japanese cuisine is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
