**Job Description**:
Key Responsibilities:
? Identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues in VMware NSX-V and NSX-T environments, ensuring mínimal disruption to network services.
? Act as the primary point of escalation for NSX-related network issues, including connectivity failures, performance bottlenecks, and configuration errors.
? Conduct in-depth analysis of network traffic and troubleshoot routing, firewall, and security policies within NSX to address and prevent network disruptions.
? Monitor and diagnose performance metrics using NSX dashboards, logs, and third-party monitoring tools to proactively detect and troubleshoot issues before they impact operations.
? Work closely with network, infrastructure, and security teams to identify root causes of recurring issues and implement preventive solutions.
? Perform detailed troubleshooting of NSX components, such as NSX Managers, Controllers, Edge Gateways, Distributed Routers, and logical switches, ensuring each component operates optimally.
? Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recurring issues, creating a knowledge base for future problem resolution.
? Participate in incident and problem management processes, providing insights and updates to stakeholders on issue resolution and preventive actions.
? Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, developing and documenting corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
? Assist in migration projects from NSX-V to NSX-T by troubleshooting configuration and compatibility issues to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Troubleshooting Tasks:
? Diagnose network latency issues across distributed virtual switches and logical routers.
? Troubleshoot security policy conflicts and misconfigurations in micro-segmentation.
? Identify and resolve firewall rule inconsistencies and NAT-related issues that impact network connectivity.
? Analyze and resolve VPN connectivity issues involving IPsec, SSL, and Layer 3 VPNs within NSX.
? Troubleshoot routing issues involving BGP and OSPF, ensuring efficient packet delivery and network performance.
? Utilize diagnostic tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and VMware Log Insight to capture and analyze packet data for effective troubleshooting.
