**1. Ecosystem Service Valuation**

Conduct spatial assessments of ecosystem services using InVEST models (e.g., carbon storage, water purification, habitat quality). Translate biophysical data into monetary and non-monetary value indicators for business and policy decisions. Develop geospatial workflows for nature-positive impact evaluations.

Work collaboratively with geospatial data engineers to source, process, and analyze environmental datasets from platforms such as Google Earth Engine, Copernicus, and GBIF. Provide domain expertise on ecosystem service valuation while relying on geospatial data engineers to manage data pipelines, spatial analyses, and statistical modeling using Python, R, QGIS, or ArcGIS. Focus on interpreting results and communicating ecosystem service metrics in business-relevant formats.

**4. Stakeholder Collaboration & Capacity Building**

Collaborate with geospatial data engineers and interdisciplinary teams in Mumbai and Zurich to deliver projects for clients and investors. Provide domain-specific insights into ecosystem service models and valuation frameworks while leveraging geospatial expertise from technical staff. Contribute technical input for project proposals, capacity-building workshops, and public reports.

**Qualifications & SkillsEssential Skills & Experience**
- Master’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Economics, Geography, or a related field.
- Expertise with InVEST and related ecosystem valuation tools (e.g., ENCORE, ARIES, EcoMetrix).
- Familiarity with Natural Capital Protocol and Capitals Coalition frameworks.
- Basic understanding of GIS platforms and remote sensing tools.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of environmental economics and ecosystem service valuation methodologies.
- Familiarity with natural capital frameworks like SEEA EA, TNFD, SBTN, and sustainability reporting protocols.

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience working in sustainability consulting, environmental NGOs, or research institutions.
- Familiarity with biodiversity monitoring tools such as GBIF, IUCN Red List, or similar datasets.
- Knowledge of climate accounting tools like EX-ACT or Carbon Benefits Project (CBP).
- Experience translating complex environmental models into actionable business insights.
