**The **Role**:Geospatial Principal (SCAP Upstream 27)

**The Location**:Hyderabad

**Grade/Level **( _relevant for internal applicants only _): Geospatial Principal, IC7, 10A

**The Team**:North American Land solutions in Upstream Data Operations & Applications from S&P Global Commodity Insights take a comprehensive look at Oil and Gas data collection and distribution. We collect time-sensitive data so customers can make informed decisions impacting future development.

**The Impact**:The geospatial analyst will have an opportunity to grow into the emerging market of green energy solutions for companies looking to meet their carbon offset goals.

**What’s in it for you**:You will build on your geospatial skills to process and combine geospatial and tabular data models for data repositories residing in cloud environments. The data will come from different sources that need to be combined in new ways to give companies insights into the green market. The data needs to be consistent and readily available to customers for building responsive queries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understands Geodetic principles, global spatial data challenges, and data management tasks within spatially enabled environments.
- Makes decisions based on validity of information sources and helps to defines new data combinations and quality control standards for incoming data.
- Responds to internal/external customer requests, helps to answer complex questions, and presents solutions to stakeholders.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines is essential
- Ability to excel both individually and as part of the team, personally driving collaborative relationships, resourceful and independent thinker, self-starter that is detail oriented
- At least 10 years of experience with GIS tools such as ESRI ArcMap and/or ArcPro
- Experience with large datasets, data management systems and data analysis software (Excel, PowerBI, Access etc.).
- Cloud experience, database understanding, SQL language knowledge, and Python development is an advantage
- Academic Qualifications - BSc/MSc Degree in related discipline (GIS, RS, Geography, Database Management, Programming)
- Professional Qualifications/Memberships, GIS Professional (GISP), or ESRI Certification

**Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only)**:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $A to $Z. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
