**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute menus featuring a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, including regional specialties from various parts of India such as North Indian and Punjabi.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori specialties,with a focus on maintaining authenticity and flavor.
- Source high-quality ingredients, spices, and herbs, and ensure proper storage and handling to maintain freshness and flavor.
- Utilize traditional Indian cooking techniques such as tandoor cooking, tempering spices, and layering flavors to create rich and complex dishes.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques, recipes, and food safety standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus, special promotions, and tasting menus that highlight the best of Indian cuisine.
- Stay updated on current food trends, new ingredients, and innovative cooking techniques related to Indian cuisine, and incorporate them into menu development as appropriate.
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns or special requests related to food preparation or dietary restrictions.
- Monitor food costs and portion sizes to maximize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Participate in special events, food festivals, and culinary competitions to showcase your skills and promote the restaurant's brand.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall success of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef specializing in Indian cuisine, with a strong portfolio of dishes showcasing a variety of regional flavors and styles.
- Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and ingredients, as well as traditional cooking techniques and regional variations.
- Creative flair and innovation in menu development, with the ability to create new and exciting dishes while respecting traditional culinary heritage.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional results.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and delighting guests with delicious and authentic Indian cuisine.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
