Job Description: Commis Chef (2/3)
Cuisine: Dessert/Chocolate/Ice-Cream/Pastry

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and execution of dessert menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Collaborate with the pastry chef and other team members to develop new dessert offerings that align with seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Properly measure and assemble ingredients for desserts, ensuring accuracy and consistency in presentation and taste.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment and workstations, in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Support the pastry chef in special projects, events, and catering functions as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities for learning and skill development to enhance pastry knowledge and techniques.
- Display a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to collaborate with team members to achieve culinary excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the pastry chef or kitchen management.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in pastry or dessert preparation.
- Formal culinary training or relevant certification from an accredited institution is advantageous.
- Strong passion for pastry and desserts, with a desire to continually improve skills and knowledge in this area.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
