Plan and manage transportation of goods from origin to destination.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of consignments.
- Optimize delivery routes for cost-efficiency and speed.
- Monitor and maintain the company’s vehicle fleet (if applicable).
- Schedule regular vehicle servicing, inspections, and registrations.
- Track fuel usage, mileage, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with transport vendors and third-party logistics providers.
- Manage driver rosters, assign routes, and ensure compliance with duty hours.
- Resolve issues or conflicts involving transport personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of transport logs, invoices, permits, and delivery proofs.
- Provide daily/weekly reports on transport performance and costs.
- Monitor KPIs like on-time delivery, fuel consumption, and downtime.
- Manage documentation for insurance, vehicle papers, and cargo safety.
