**Job Description**:
**Role Summary/Purpose**:
**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Promote control & efficiency across all Recovery functions (Debt Sales, Bankruptcy, Estate Recovery, Agency, Attorney, Recovery Systems, Call Center) through process analysis and optimization.
- Innovate, develop, and execute collections and recovery strategies to drive improved financial results
- Develop, optimize, implement, and measure liquidation strategies for both pre
- and post
- charge-off accounts and other strategies leveraging statistical tools and quality management supporting both loss and expense improvements
- Support relevant strategy projects including consistency alignments, cardholder loss mitigation strategies, process reviews and readiness and expense/performance optimization
- Lead the development & validation of strategy design including fair lending and legal reviews
- Create process controls and monitoring plans to ensure sound process governance
- Collaborate with Risk, Finance & Client Managers to explain key drivers in portfolio performance, understand strategy impacts and identify opportunities to improve business performance and profitability
- Embrace change and drive strategic improvements cross-functionally
- Communicate strategies and results to Leadership
- Establish priorities and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously, of varying complexity and length
- Proactively manage efforts to maintain stakeholder satisfaction, and quantify project benefits delivered
- Develop and support Best-in-class analytic solutions/algorithms
- Influence Senior Management on new tools/solutions built by the team
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience in deep dive analytics, business intelligence, reporting and data extraction to support and provide strategic decisions & Stakeholder management. or in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of experience in deep dive analytics, business intelligence, reporting and data extraction to support and provide strategic decisions & Stakeholder management.
- 7+ years’ experience in coding with SQL, Tableau or other equivalent tool within the recent 5 years.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Optimization techniques and problem solving.
- 3 + years of experience in Collections.
- Working knowledge of SAS, SQL, Unix, Excel, Tableau.
- Strong written/oral communication skills.
- Exposure to R, Python & Tableau.

**Desired Characteristics**:

- 3+ years demonstrated success developing and delivering advanced analytics & data visualization
- 7+ years’ experience using SQL or equivalent data tool such as Business Objects.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Knowledge of Big Data tools and technologies
- Ability to drive initiates
- Understanding of macro-economic conditions & competitors’ trends
- Good knowledge of latest Analytical practices in the Industry
