Role
- Smooth execution of 24*7 Operations for all UNIX systems.
- Ready to work in shift (Morning, After noon and night).
- Timely execution of Incident and change request generated for all UNIX systems using BMC remedy tool.
- Implementing CA scripts for all Unix systems.
- Ensure good knowledge of CAVA closure.
- CAVA hardening needs to be supported.
- OS patching activity needed to support during the critical servers patching.
- BMC patching tool needs to be handled.
- If any critical patch released for Unix systems, it has to be implemented on high priority.
- knowledge of basic scripting.
- Troubleshooting issues during AIX/Linux OS patching activities. Like boot issue, space issue, control D error, Java issue, yum error, repo issue, RSCD agent issue etc.
- SCD needs to be handled and if any new plugin comes.
- Service now tool need to track for Vulnerability Assessment report.
- Nessus scan tool needs to be handled for CAVA closure.
- Provides technical leadership, guidance and direction on the security, infrastructure and implementation functions of information management systems.
- Documenting process updates as per project requirements.
- Project initiation and execution for continuous improvement.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Skills/Knowledge prerequisites
- Good knowledge of LPAR, Logical volume, partitioning, networking, disk cloning, installation of security agents, VIO, HACMP, Veritas Cluster, introduction to cloud (AWS, Azure).
- Domain knowledge of AIX, Linux & Sun Solaris.
- Working experience with Unix operations environment.
- Mksysb backup and restore activities on both AIX and VIO servers.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Network file systems(NFS).
- Knowledge of OS migration for AIX & Linux.
- HMC management activity like adding CPU, memory and virtual devices using DLPAR.
- Download and update security patch as per client calendar requirement.
- Hands on experience in Unix platform & Basic knowledge of databases and AWS.
- VA/CA, Hardening process for Unix system.
- Download and update security patch as per client calendar requirement.
- Good communication skill and knowledge of BMC tool.
- Good knowledge of Configuration Audit(CA).
- Excellent knowledge of Vulnerability Assessment report (VA).
- Repair inconsistency filesystems using FSCK utility.
- Basic knowledge of scripting.
- Excellent knowledge of OS patching activity for Unix systems.
- Qualifications
- Any Graduate in any course.
- Certification in professional courses for AIX, Linux or Sun Solaris, etc. will be an added advantage.
- Profile
- 4+ years’ experience in IT; and more than 3 years exclusively in Unix domain of reputated organization administration on various Unix platforms.
- Hands on for latest UNIX flavor, certification in any area of Unix OS (AIX, Sun-Solaris, Linux) administration will be an added advantage.
