**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
The Overseas Desk Dealer role in the Overseas Desk is responsible for Overseas Branch Treasury, which includes local level balance sheet management, short term fund raising, deposit and loan pricing, FI relationships with local banks, limited customer interaction along with RM for mobilizing wholesale deposits and representing the Bank for Treasury functions in the branch. In addition to this, dealer is also required to execute interbank trades in FX, NDF, Bullion, interest rates, options, Bonds etc.

The role’s objective is:
Manage the local balance sheet of the branch in terms of Assets and Liabilities

Represent Treasury in the Branch

Local level short term fund raising and NII target.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Financial Objective**

NII revenue as per budget from Asset/Advances pricing to the business, both in terms of Transfer pricing as well as actual pricing.

Trading and proprietary revenue if trading is permitted depending on experience in any particular asset class

Income target from Nostro management

Reduce cost of borrowings by arranging lower cost of borrowings

**Non-Financial Objective** -** Risk Management and Liquidity Management**

Liquidity Management as per the regulatory and Bank’s requirement of the desk

Gap Management

Other risk variable parameters management like counterparty, settlement risk limits

Funding management including raising funds, legal documentation

**Relationship Management - external and internal**

Manage the internal stake holders, viz. relationship managers in various Business groups to mobile deposits and loans products for the branch.

Counterparty / FI Relationship Management and Intelligence:
Interact with market participants to gather information

Direct coverage of Banks and brokers for optimizing of borrowing lines, especially trade and money market lines

Target new funding lines from Banks

Operations team for ensuring smooth transaction processing

**Internal Processes and Regulatory Compliance**

Ensure fulfillment of all transactions in the given TAT, with zero error, while adhering to the process and policies of the Bank.

Hedging of all positions arising out of the transactions covered

Capturing all transactions in all the front office systems of the bank as per the policy

Ensuring all treasury related documents are submitted by the customer in defined TAT

Follow the process of Suitability and Appropriateness policy of the Bank and adhere to the pre-defined processes

Ensure compliance with all internal / external guidelines, well versed with all guidelines pertaining to the Desk, ensure compliance with all the risk / credit limits pertaining to the desk activities.

**Skill Requirements**

1. Aptitude and attitude to financial markets. Typically a Post Graduate/MBA in Finance, CA.

2. Treasury product knowledge, including knowledge about pricing. Adequate knowledge of markets, with ability to interpret these data and use it for business opportunities

3. Eagerness to learn

4. Good communication skills

5. Strong analytical and mathematical acumen, data interpretation skills

6. Good Relationship skills & Team player

7. Regulatory knowledge and Compliance orientation

8. Grooming (critical as need to interact with external people in overseas)

9. Extremely high levels of integrity

10. Ability to Multi-task
