**Reporting line(s) Reports to**:Production Foreman

**The Machine Operator is responsible for**:

- Preparing metal tubes, bars, and other materials and staging them for the next step in the operation (which is welding)
- Entry-level usage of equipment, including a bandsaw, tube cutters, deburring machines, resizing dies, metal benders, tube perforators, robotic cutting machines, tube benders, CNC machines, and more
- Measuring, cutting, deburring, and staging of raw materials, following Dot Workplace solutions manufacturing processes, fixtures, and instructions
- Executing all work with precision, adhering to time and quality standards, with mínimal scrap
- Performing daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) reviews for all assigned equipment, including keeping machines and work areas clean
- Providing input and ideas for continuous improvement in process, equipment, tools, and more
- Adhering to Dor workplace solutions core values
- Time tracking, clocking in and out of jobs as directed
- Other duties as assigned

**Accountabilities**

**The success of the role will be based upon a mix of**:

- Becoming proficient with Dot workplace solutions planning tools
- Completion of training to initial level I targets
- Quality, volume, and accuracy of work, as measured by supervisor
- Adherence to the employee handbook and company policies

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent degrees
- 0 - 2 years of metal fabrication experience
