- Provide individualized counseling to students with diverse special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement comprehensive Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and challenges.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans to support students in managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive social interactions.
- Advocate for students' rights and access to appropriate educational services, accommodations, and assistive technologies.
- Facilitate social skills groups, peer mentoring programs, and conflict resolution workshops to promote social-emotional development and peer relationships.
- Support students in transition planning for post-school life, including vocational training, independent living skills, and community integration.
