Newton School aims to bridge this massive gap through it’s personalised learning platform. We are building an online university and solving the deep problem of employability of graduates.

We have a strong core team consisting of alumni from IIT's and IIM’s, having several years of industry experience in companies like Unacademy, Inmobi, Ola, Microsoft - among others. On this mission, we are backed by some of the most respected investors around the world, - RTP Global, Nexus Venture Partners and a slew of angel investors including CRED’s Kunal Shah, Flipkart’s Kalyan Krishnamoorthy, Unacademy and Razorpay founders, Udaan’s Sujeet Kumar among others.

**Key responsibilities**:
Industry Relations and Engagement:
1. Develop and nurture relationships with industry partners (engineering companies, IT firms, and other relevant organisations)
2. Collaborate with industry representatives to understand their workforce needs and provide feedback to the college's academic departments
3. Assist in organising career fairs, workshops, and seminars to connect students with potential employers

Market research and placement strategy:
1. Use data analysis to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve placement outcomes
2. Generate and maintain reports on placement activities and student progress
3. Maintain an up-to-date database of potential employers and job opportunities. In depth understanding of IT freshers campus hiring
4. Organising national level programs with industry partners for the purpose of brand building / knowledge management

Internship and Placement Programs:
1. Coordinate and facilitate internships and placement programs for students, ensuring a seamless transition from academia to industry
2. Identify and secure job listings and internship positions for students
3. Collaborate with with industry for live learning projects, research projects, and consulting projects

Student training and Guidance:
1. Conduct sessions on resume building, interview preparation, and job search strategies
2. Provide career guidance and counselling to students to help them make informed decisions regarding their career paths

**Key Skills**:

- 5+ years of experience in career counselling and placement services for freshers technical roles. (**Preferably in Tier I engineering college**)
- In depth knowledge of the engineering job market, industry trends and best practices
- Strong existing network of senior TAs/HRs/Functional leaders/Marketing professionals in the tech industry
- Should possess excellent Networking, Marketing, Communication and PR skills
- Should have the ability to independently organise and manage events/placement activities
- Willingness and agility to work in 0 to 1 setting with a go getter attitude
- Strategic thinking and good problem solving to produce best outcomes for students
