The Chief Sales Officer directs the entire business unit by planning, developing, and executing strategies/actions for improving the Sales and marketing of their respective business units. Chief Sales Officer monitors and manages the performance of the organization, units and its employees for achieving the targeted business growth, by facilitating market expansion and by promoting the products & service offered by the organization for achieving the financial goals. The Chief Sales Officer is expected to continuously analyze the market situations and also to make necessary changes in strategies and action plans of business units/branches if necessary for meeting the set targets for further development of their respective business areas. He is also responsible for identifying performance gaps and in implementing action plans for developing a strong team of employees.
**Criteria**:
Ø Master’s degree in Marketing
Ø Knowledge of Leadership Management
Ø Knowledge of the Industry Standards and Practices
Ø Min. 15-20 yrs. experience in the Business Development/Marketing Head/Sales Head, preferably in **FTTH/Telecom industry.**
Ø Market Analysis & Strategies
Ø Ability to Plan, Manage and Coordinate
Ø Establishes business objectives and translates business objectives into action plans and results, experience leading and developing an effective team.
Ø Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, ability to effectively resolve conflict situations, and able to work collaboratively with managers and staff.
Responsible for the yearly growth plan development by consulting with the top management and strategizing for the implementations.
Responsible for allocating the targets to the retail/wholesale/production unit based on the potential and scope of the branch/unit and doing the follow-up.
Responsible for aligning all the activities of the business unit for achieving the business targets through proper planning of the strategies, coordinating with the department heads, and regular review of the achievements.
Responsible for conducting periodical market research programs to evaluate the market scenario and to change the strategies if needed for better goals and target achievement.
Responsible for ensuring that the resources are ready for achieving the targets and growth that are planned at the beginning of every financial year.
To plan, organize, direct, control, and manage the BU with complete ownership of sales, marketing, and support functions, without negatively affecting the revenue, cost, and profitability.
To direct department heads in defining goals and objectives and developing strategies/action plans and evaluating and meeting those goals.
To act as a change agent by providing the means to foster and support a positive organizational culture.
Accountable to ensure that all the branches and teams are following the company policies, procedures, and systems for improved operational efficiency.
Accountable to amend and implement the changes in the policies, procedures, and systems time to improve overall effectiveness and standards if the performance of the business unit/manager/employees is not up to the standard.
Responsible for continuous performance review of the business units/managers/employees for checking/review of and ensuring that the team is performing up to the standard and are also keeping the policies and standards as per the definitions.
Responsible for ensuring all the sub-departments are keeping the benchmark standards and following organizational policies and procedures and is working towards common unit goals.
Responsible for a periodical visit to all the units monthly to ensure that all the benchmarks are being kept by the team for maximum results.
Adherence to budget and ensuring the allocated funds are optimally utilized for the profitability of the organization.
Accountable to ensure that there will be never a chance for fraudulent activities/unethical business practices in their units by taking preventive strategies and acting timely to avoid such issues which harm the business reputation.
Responsible for minimizing the risk by ensuring the existing process is corrective and error-free in their entire unit by continuous checking and process auditing.
Responsible for ensuring that timely actions are taken by the HR/legal department in case of any fraudulent activities/unethical business practices in their units.
Responsible for informing the top management about any risk elements prevailing in their units and by taking preventive actions to avoid risk in business operations.
Responsible for ensuring that the reporting is happening at the right time the company is defined, also responsible for providing at reports as per the request from the BOD.
