Job Role
- Checking of purchase requisition with the user department, making purchase orders on daily basis and follow up on the purchase orders with the supplier.
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors, pricing trends
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices, Prepare cost analyses
- Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Typing out all the correspondence relating to the purchase department such as letters to the suppliers, comparison of quotations, foreign object complaints letters, general correspondence and the correspondence about imported capital items.
- Maintaining a file on the rate contracts for Central Purchase, Regional Purchase and Unit Purchase items in the MMS System.
- Adherence and supervision of HACCP and ISO Norms.
- Following up the foreign object complaints about the suppliers on regular basis and maintaining a statement about the rejection of material regularly

Skills
- Work experience as a Purchasing Assistant, Purchasing Officer or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software (SAP)
- Computer Literacy Skills Word, Excel SAP
- Knowledge of market research
- Good Negotiations & Organizational skills
