1. Billing Coordination:

- Generate accurate and timely bills for inpatient services based on hospital

policies and guidelines.
- Verify and cross-check all relevant documentation, including medical records,

to ensure billing accuracy.
- Collaborate with the medical coding team to assign appropriate codes for

inpatient procedures and diagnoses.

2. Insurance Claims Processing:

- Interface with insurance companies to verify patient coverage and benefits.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims for inpatient services.
- Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, or discrepancies to facilitate timely

reimbursement.

3. Patient Interaction:

- Communicate effectively with inpatients and their families regarding billing

inquiries and concerns.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage, co-pays, and any

out-of-pocket expenses.

4. Documentation and Recordkeeping:

- Maintain detailed and organized records of all inpatient billing activities.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in all billing

practices.
- Generate reports on billing performance and contribute to financial audits as

needed.

5. Collaboration with Departments:

- Collaborate with various hospital departments such as the finance, medical

records, and admissions teams to gather necessary information for billing.
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to resolve billing

discrepancies or coding issues.
