Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts and Payroll Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts and Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing financial operations and ensuring accurate payroll processing for our IT professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll procedures, and excellent attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**:
**Payroll Processing**: Collect, verify, and process timesheets for IT professionals.
Calculate and record payroll adjustments, such as overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure accuracy of payroll data and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and distribute paychecks or arrange for direct deposits.
Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
**Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements.
Coordinate with vendors and clients to resolve payment-related inquiries.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments.
Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.
**Financial Records Maintenance**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
**Compliance and Reporting**: Stay updated on relevant payroll and accounting regulations and ensure compliance.
Prepare and submit tax forms, including W-2s and 1099s.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Accounts and Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
- Proficient in using payroll and accounting software (e.g., ADP, Tally ERP 9,QuickBooks, or similar systems).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
