Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity to work as a payroll and benefits administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll and benefits administration, data entry, and ad hoc reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll submissions for multiple agencies
  • Collect and process approved timesheets for freelance employees
  • Verify and maintain the integrity of payroll data while ensuring timely payment
  • Process employment changes such as salary, leaves, and terminations, as well as bonuses, awards, and retro payments
  • Enter all new hire information, employee changes, and terminations into the HRIS

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage the Medavie Blue Cross (MBC) benefits administration platform, including enrolments, changes, and terminations
  • Host benefits orientations and serve as the point of contact for benefits-related inquiries
  • Assist with pension setup and respond to employee inquiries
  • Share benefits communications with agencies under the umbrella organization

Reporting and Administrative Support:

  • Pull bi-monthly reports for internal stakeholders and complete ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Provide support to the HR teams with on/offboarding administrative duties
  • Maintain trackers for vacation, years of service, work permits, and on/offboarding

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or a related field
  • SAP SuccessFactors experience is an asset
  • Experience managing benefits administration platforms
  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll administration
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to multitask, learn, and adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • A collaborative nature and excellent customer service
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate high levels of interpersonal sensitivity, emotional intelligence, and judgment
