The Role

The Product Owner works closely with the Product Manager and is responsible for introducing and managing the team’s backlog, decomposing requirements, and creating a definition of success that represents the vision of the organization. The product owner is a member of the scrum team, actively participates in sprints, and is consistently available to team members for questions, clarity, and understanding using exemplary writing skills for user stories to curate the product backlog. The Product Owner is responsible for short term roadmap as well as interfacing with Customers.

What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the product manager to execute platform strategy
- Collect and process input from internal and external stakeholders to build strategic features/enhancements
- Review and prioritized defects related to the team’s backlog
- Develop in-depth level of understanding your products
- Collaborate with the team, including Developers, QA, and Scrum Master to efficiently deliver valuable product benefits
- Lead the product documentation creation process to enable successful go-to-market
- Work with product managers, sales, and marketing to enable customer adoption of new features and solutions
- Track and analyze product performance metrics and drive data-based decisions

What You’ll Bring
- Technical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to lead product development process in an Agile environment for a modern web-based product
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed environment and drive multiple projects with varying requirements and deadlines
- Excellent communication and team skills. You know how to lead the product, collaborating closely with the development team and all key stakeholders
- Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings
- Experience and understanding of the automotive ecosystem including OEMs, dealers, national agencies, and regional associations is a plus.
