**Job description**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Programming**:
Write and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) based on technical drawings and CAD models.

Ensure programs are efficient and meet quality standards.

Make adjustments to programs as necessary to optimize machining processes.

**Setup and Operation**:
Set up CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes) including loading materials, installing tools, and fixtures.

Operate CNC machines to perform machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling, and tapping.

Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to exact specifications and quality standards.

Make adjustments to machine settings to ensure optimal performance.

**Quality Assurance**:
Conduct inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometres, callipers) to verify conformance with specifications.

Identify and address any deviations from quality standards, making adjustments as needed.

**Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure proper functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programming, setup, or machine operation to minimize downtime.

**Documentation and Reporting**:
Maintain accurate records of programs, setup sheets, and tooling information.

Provide regular updates and reports on job progress, including any challenges encountered and solutions implemented.

**Qualifications**:
Proven experience as a CNC Machine Programmer with a strong background in CNC machining operations.

Proficiency in CAM software and G-code programming.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD models.

Strong knowledge of machining processes and materials.

Solid understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment preferred.

**Education and Experience**:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC programming or related field preferred.

**Salary**:
